Players sail across the high seas, exploring various kingdoms such as the Candy Kingdom, the Fire Kingdom, and the Evil Forest, interacting with characters from the show and completing side quests. The gameplay features turn-based combat with unique abilities for each character, including Finn, Jake, Marceline, and BMO. Players also engage in occasional interrogation minigames.
